TG supports Active Directory (AD) and Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP), software protocols for enabling/managing user authentication and security.
Active Directory is a directory service used to store information about the network resources across a domain and also centralize the network.
The Lightweight Directory Access Protocol, or LDAP, is an application protocol for querying and modifying directory services running over TCP/IP.
Ideal for in-house installations--those hosted by customer on their internal servers. This plugin synchs user information into TG's sql database with the exception of the password. Passwords are not stored in the database for security reasons.
